New Adventure

My stint covering daytime across Southend Radio comes to an end today, was a bit sad earlier in the week as its a Glorious station!

The studio faces onto the beach so you can watch the tide rise and fall in between press releases and media lines being checked .........

My tenure is nil ending today though - starting from June i'll be the weekend newsreader! Early starts on both days but i'm delighted to still be part of it all.

Klaxons played here last week, Beverly Knight in a week or so and its the Airshow on Sunday/Monday.

Listen out, i'll give you a shout

20 worst hair cuts in rock

NME have got a pic special on their site today - 20 worst hair cuts in rock.

La Roux features, Maximo Park for their quiffs, Pete Wence? Thought he looked pretty sauve.

The caption for the Axl Rose snap made me laugh or lol in a very merry way:

The tragic decline of Axl Rose. Once he was a lithe, snake-hipped gutter-punk on top of the world. These days he looks like the kind of bloke you see playing Poi behind a dented VW camper van at Glastonbury.

Ruff Ruff

Saw this guy on the way to work today, had to get snapping.

His owner was gazing into a shop so I thought i'd been undetected until he started barking like a wolf!

I crept away with a grin and a happy snap in the can!

Suspicious Man

Covering Connect FM this week which broadcasts separately in Peterborough and Northamptonshire.

Favourite story so far:

Police in Wellingborough are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious incident where a teenager was approached by a man who engaged in conversation with him before grabbing his wrist.

The incident occured in the High Street between 3:30pm and 3:45pm on Thursday 6th of May.

The teenager was sitting on a bench when the man came up to him. He is described as white with chubby build, in his 40's or 50's around 5ft 6 with short dark greying hair.

He was also carrying a blue pattern bag.
