Secret Sessions

Gathering plenty a pace and steam now, done the most silly sort of jump type kick dance on numerous occasions over the last few days, it seems all fears are met with warmth, love and understanding and over estimated cost?

That's probably the thing that makes it all seem more and more like we're really real? Played out this tale more times to recount in my head but as many boxes as possible are now ticked and the phone keeps ringing with I'll help, can I help? YES.

We're looking at tabs today, can't decide the order or need for some many or little when a rush of goose bumps kicks in as The Escapist sneakily creeps in on iTunes.

I'll not fear no fear because I'm not really hear, I'm no where near hear. Actually I've been here since 2007 and it feels like its paying off, the sights, scents, scenes are all clicking - all possibilities in each new morning.

Sorry, I'll stop tricking this up with Mikes words. TickTickTickTick.

So the social angle I'm thinking we go anti social, oh don't look at me like that, hear me out #USA phrases.

Lets go and nock for everyone, get them recorded and up and about and let them shout? Physical WOM old fashion style, Beyond Retro chat room of actually having a conversation. We're nailed on across all the channels anyway and but this being audio and most of them being words and pix, to try again would we miss a trick?

It's been quite nice being anti social over the last few weeks anyway, couldn't really tweet in Japan, it was £2 per message on whats app! Spent £15 in as many mins trying to look for Mike's apartment, gave up and got a taxi 2 streets for £10 in the end. ctrl alt delete.

Anyway task for today, see what sort of spirit I can raise from the first recruit ADT and also take these idea's of many tricks to West London and my semi perm hide out for the next two weeks, they actually have a proper station with a frequency? They've also got a studio and a website and a a a a. We've got a  logo and abv of letters of which I still can't decide which to use so get your suggestions in now to the number at the bottom of your screens.

Thanks to all the girls who aren't calling me at the moment or stopping me in the street for a date or picture or whatever, to busy at the moment baby and thanx to Simo whose been absent of late, his early wife AM quizzical questioning would probably leave me trembling a bit and thanx to Mike & Poppy for their hosting special and opening up of my eyes, need to get the snaps up to remember we were even there, the last few weeks have really felt like Space 'Dark Clouds' and thanx to Radio Jackie for all your help already? It's only day 4 proper, and thanx to London, you are looking so pretty in the 28c today #ShoreditchWeather back soon btw + Hoxton Headlines, also thanks to all the footballs and tennis (players and tennis the band B-List-Playlist) and Kraftverk Tour De France starting on Saturday.

And thanks if you've read this, it's embargoed till we Press Play for real, shouldn't be to long //

Hoxton Live XXXII Bye

Hoxton Live XXXII By featuring The Shoreditch Poet & DJ Honey recorded live from the glowing basement of the Electricity Showrooms.

They turned the air con up to 11 for us and we turned the music up to green and sometimes orange but never in the red. Tried to write down the tunes as I played but it didn't get off the ground, you'll see a revitalized product when we return don't worry.

Honey had some delightful tales of recording in court rooms and a week of Hoxton parties and the poetry was just the most splendid way to take in the sights, sounds, scents and delights of Shoreditch through written words spoken so wonderfully for you adoring listeners.

We're on vacation for a while now so see you on the other side. Press Play .....

Hoxton Live XXXI Electric

Oh wow thanks beyond a lots, it really was special to share and have ya'll in such fine companies.

Live Musicals from Light Falls Forward - Naomi (my first ever girlfriends name) & Charlie both signed a copy of their EP for me & played us two tunes + keyboard Live #HoxtonLive.

The High Tea Cast Kelli Panda, Sam Sparrow & Lea Ricecakes turned the tone from sour to devilishly devoured with pouts and presence, if you could be offended then you probably was.

Andrew David Thornley was also the surprise guest of honor and what an entrance with one hand in his pocket, and the other waving a taxi cabs.

Full Praise Adoration and Inspiration across this British Isles Nation comes from Friends who changed my week, head and life thus we played FOUR new songs from their new record Manifest! Which Hoxton FM has and you don't so tune in for:

A Light

Van Fan Gor Du

@Afriendszone actually tweeted after the show asking weather I'd played 'unreleased album tracks' got a little bit scared but the lush love was shared by the record label so we're all goods.

Friends - Manifest

With the taste of love hearts and the aroma of the sweetest smile - Friends debut Manifest' will create the most divine magical tickling kiss your audio device will hear in 2012.

The record is delicately propped by the singles Friend Crush and Mind Control at either end to leave you moved by the adorable 2. Sorry 5. A Light 11. Van Fan Gor Du with I'm His Girl sneaking in mid way to fill your face with a fiver.

All the gorgeous energy of the live show's is pressed splendidly and produced in majestic fashion so you can hear the rattle hum drums and instrument changes between songs, while still sounding box fresh.

The journey feels joyous from I'm His Girl at the end of the summer Manifesting into this huge bakers dozen, 38 minute  humid cloud bursting unable-to-sit-without-vibing mastered piece.

Sam's vocals sweetly creating masterful melodies above bouncing heavy bass and buoyant percussion  makes for the perfect cocktail of late night Hoxton or mid afternoon London Fields Sexual Delight.

You will be so fine and late 20's mid life crises are the new thing and totally worth embracing with wide open, slightly manacle wide eyed glee.

Friendly Fire

Still reeling from the wow and awe and awesome delight of sight spectacled last night at a pretty pub just off Upper St.

Was quite looking forward to doing a set from the Wenlock and Essex as the venue only has delightful memories of the vastly soundly successful Edge Music London which roall ar through the place each month.

Handsome houndsmith Spencer from the 286 was there on arrival and keen to get jiving, the gorgeous Danielle from Edge Music was also looking mighty fine in some new Beyond Retro garms and the beats ticked on.

I was over delighted already to have such fine accompany in attendance already when the doors broke down and the sight of John Simms, Daniel Garvey, Emma Lindsay, Mighty Mellers and Ian James Burst IN!

Biggest Brightest Boldest Distraction Ever all bounding round Hoxton FM. Stage fright delight followed as the most spesh listeners in attendance / existence were tuned in and the pressure was certainly ON.

Danielle Dan, Emma Danielle, Spencer Ian, Mellers Danielle (gang intro) pressure, on, the dancefloor glowed, the tiquila flowed and its so beautifully delish as I depict and dictorally type the memoirs out.

Work is like Killa, they are actually making me work? Its full on but boundless fun, prepping the show (s) an musics and guests and twitters has been tricky, exhausting, exciting. Seeing you all after a very elongated 5 days of a week, sweetly surprising is the most magnificent gift I would've never even dreamed an is tearing me up a little now.

Thank you all So much xx

Because they are your Friends

Friends XOYO
Wednesday 8th February 2012

Freezing high day, feelings all around - the explosive warming sweet shining vibe Friends bought to XOYO last night with the adoring crowd leaving with a glow and hug of NYC goodness.

They played out a set which included probably only two tunes the audience would’ve really known yet every body got down like they were all established pop rock hits.

The stage vibe and gentle delight they bring in their attire, movement, ability and tenderness just feel like a kiss kiss on the end of a phone call.

Lead singer Sam leapt into the crowd on countless occasions while treating the hungry crowd to a fine vocal range, fluid lush dance moves and healthy blueberry bursts of giggles which were reciprocated by ‘the best crowd on the tour’

They are back in May for another mini burst and as yet hush hush untitled debut record out at the same time, they are also playing London’s Coolest Festival Field Day on the Jubilee Weekend.

Hoodlums interview Hoxton FM Olympic Show

The Hoodlums dropped into the Olympic Show this week to talk about adventures at the sea side and the Awesome new single Dark Horses which is out now.

My initial fears were proved right within a minute when Vainglorious said fuck in pretty much the opening gambit.

Keeping the the show and guest on the rails after that was never going to happen.

You can catch Hoodlums this coming Thursday 9th of February at The Wilmington Arms (near Exmouth Market - Farringdon/Angel), onstage at 9.15pm.

'Dark Horses' single out 30/01/2012: http://hoodlumsband.com/HOODLUMS-DARK-HORSES.html

Preshaah Definition

Confusion still arises of the spelling of Preshaah and why its spelt this way?

This is Preshaah:

The New M83 song Reunion out now in all good book shops, was mis qued on Shaun Keavney this morning (he played the intro before his usual bed) and its been in my head all day long.

11:43 and after about 30+ emails we finally got the Yes from Love Drinks to run our first drinks promotion creating an Edge Music G&T which will be on offer at the next Edge Music London Event.

As I read the YES lets GO from Kirsty @ Love drinks what should creep on the radio at exactly the YES point?

And your on the tip of my tongue M83 Reunion!

The rejoice delight and excitement all coupled together by the chance occurrence that this record could come on at the same time makes for an explosion of delight. All the sequences were possible and made happen by moi – I was listening to 6-music / the record is on the playlist / Love Drinks were going to say YES.

All at the same time?

That’s Preshaah

Blind Pilots

This is quite precarious and danger ground
Feeling like this - comming up an straight down.

A usual constant kind a' seven
The highs go over an above 11.
Then crashing down
3's to the ground.

Nothing picks me up Quite like a buzzing message from you.
Tales of where you've been dancing
Or dining on junk food.

Handing out flyers
Flying high
Skipping around
In the London bright.

Festively sharing fun with you
Over SMS & Twitter too

I've told you loads of what's going on
Uppers and downers as the days tick on.

Your the first one I wanna call
To say lets hang out, lets play ball.
Moving backwards and tracing steps back
To create a friendship after racing the track.

Moving and flying at hurtling speeds
As you plan the Blue Stage to show off next week.

You feel like my best friend right now
Telling you news and what I'm about.
It feels quite easy, blabbing to you
And you back @ me is nice spesh true.

I don't know where we're at, last week when we had that spat.
Didn't mean to make you so mad, maybe my fault perhaps a tad.

I've got plenty of girlfriends, friends who are girls
Getting there with you, seems another world.

Hoxton Live makes me buzz inside
Follow up Friends interview, Babybird in sight.

It all feels great and matters a lot,
But the distraction of you makes me lose the plot.

Partied out on party food, trash tv then lowered the mood.
Then you text the same, Sunday night feeling hugs away.

I've got enough props to keep my side show going
Just wanna be close to you is all I'm knowing.

Booking Agent

Pretty much my greatest buzz right now is booking venues and bands for various Hoxton Live antics.

The first of 2012 has just come in and filled me with ecstatic delight – Babybird! Yeah Baby the late 90’s brit pop flirters are back with a new record and tour in 2012.

Heard about their live dates and new studio album ‘The Pleasures of Self Destruction’ last year on 6-Music and the bizarre news that Jonny Depp is one of their biggest fans, has helped fund the band and has also played as part of the ensemble!

Delicious delight and the new single ‘Can’t Love You Anymore’ is fuel force octane emotion & you can catch them live across the UK starting 26th January at the Cardiff Globe.

They’ll be in London 11th of February at the Leicester Square Theatre – Valentines date perhaps?

Speaking to their management today to organise the interview so keep checking Preshaah FM for updates.

Your Gorgeous.
