David Seaman

The Atlantic 75 lifeboat was launched from the pier head at approx 2.15pm this afternoon in force 8, gusting to force 9 south westerly winds and turbulent seas to a 27ft sailing cruiser that had run aground on the south side of The Chapman Sands, East of Canvey.

That's the latest from the RNLI here @ Southend and I'm suppose to be newscasting?

I must say the gusty gales that've whipped the weather this week have made working by the seaside Soo much fun! Never seen it so blustery and choppy, really looks dangerous out there, when the tide comes in it covers the whole beach and waves are blowing onto cars!!!!

I got the train so no worries for my KA"
